My name is Justin Silvey and I will be a practitioner for this exciting course! Let me begin by telling you a little about myself. I am first and foremost a follower of Jesus Christ. I gave my heart and life to Him when I was 7 years old. My desire and goal is to serve Him by serving you.
I am originally from Eden, North Carolina, approximately 2 hours south of Lynchburg. I have been married to my beautiful bride, Lynda, for just over four years. We enjoy traveling, golfing, grilling out, and playing with 2 year old West Highland White Terrier, Duncan. She is a fifth grade History teacher.
I graduated from LU with a degree in Clinical Psychology in 2003. I went on to complete a Master of Education in School Counseling degree from LU in 2008.
I have served in two full-time positions at LU (Admissions and Financial Aid) for a total of 3 years. I have also worked as a special education paraprofessional while working with students with special needs. I now serve as a high school counselor at Jefferson Forest High School.
In all that I do I wish to bring glory to God. I am here as a resource to you as we grow and learn together.
